Here are the steps to register an online complaint by using the website of e-Nivaran:
Step 1: Open the e-filing website of the Income Tax Department.
Step 2: Click on the tab of e-Nivaran on the portal.
Step 3: Select the button that says 'Submit Grievance'.
Step 4: Now, click on the ' PAN or TAN holder' and then submit the PAN or TAN number.
Step 5: If your PAN is not registered, select 'register with e-filing and continue' to go to the registration page.
Step 6: Select the option 'No thanks and continue without registering', then you will be redirected to the e-nivaran form to raise your complaint.
Step 7: Before submitting your complaint, you should preview and edit it carefully.
Step 8: Click on the submit button, then OTP will be sent to your mobile number and e-mail ID.
Step 9: Click on the message saying validate success shown on the screen and also on the option to download the PDF.
Step 10: After this process, an acknowledgement number will be generated on the website. You can use this number to track the status of your grievance.
